This is the opening of the financial times - revisited.
Why this name? For you to know this, I should tell something about myself.
I am currently working for a company that pays for my education and makes sure I have work. Typically, I'm into "secondment". This means that my employer searches a project for me that's of my interest and sends me to it. These projects are in the field of financial services. Hence, the financial times.
Why is this a revisited version? Very simple, I will try to shine some personal light onto the news and post 'articles' about my personal experiences.
For example, yesterday was a 'typical friday'. Everybody is a bit jumpy, not really doing what they are supposed to.. The sun is shining and people are already talking about going away in the summer. I was typing an email to explain some financial things to people, as I normally do, with a lot of words. A typical thing of me, I have a problem with keeping it brief..
I experienced a nice "feature" of Outlook. As I was done with my (long) e-mail, I wanted to add some euro marks (€) to all the numbers I stated. Too bad, pressing the Alt-GR and E key closed the e-mail. Not something I've experienced before. As far as I knew, that was supposed to give me a nice euro mark, not close the e-mail.
Friday frustration, oh the agony.
So that's 15 minutes wasted on your average friday. I hope the next message will be a bit more interesting.
